Vagabondine Unterwegs

la feria de los mataderos

Today the weather was as beautiful and hot as it never has been any day before. I even could wear my skirt.

I added this picture to show you how amazing parks there are in Buenos Aires. Whenever I go for a run a go there, its sort of a 10 min run to get there. The quiescence at the parks is definitaly doing me good.

Busy life at Buenos Aires is something I absolutely still need to get used to, country bumpkin I am. This city never sleeps, there are cars and buses passing by 24 hours a day. Passing by while sleeping, while walking to the subte, while walking to school, just for example. The street can be just to scrape through, still there are cars passing by all the time. And actually, the cars are a lot louder than they are in western Europe because of being older.

But I brought ear plugs and till now I found some well hidden places where you may escape from the constant noise, for example at the Parks or surprisingly as well at the Cementary of Recoleta. And at home I can get some rest as well, of course.

Yesterday I went to a Market, la feria de los matadores. Although it still was located in the City, it took us about a 1 hour bus drive to get there. The good thing about this fact was, that there where almost no tourists, not including us.

People were dancing on the street and there where 2 huge grills where you could have Chorizo or Bife the Chorizo or black pudding as well (uhhh...). It was really enjoyable!

Good night, tomorrow I am going to bake bread... good bread!
